YWA Runs The World - Workshop with Coach Sonya

Description

Do you get shin splints, side stitches or other aches and pains that don't seem to make sense every time you go for a run? Are you interested in running a race but you're not sure where to start? Maybe you've been curious to know if your running form could be a little better? Are you craving mindful movement and want to explore stretching options that could be utilized throughout the day to help with posture and back pain?

Join YWA member Coach Sonya for a running workshop at HIT Athletic to learn the basics of running form and how to do it well! During this clinic you'll learn proper warm up techniques, exercises to combat common running related injuries and perform drills to correct your running posture. Get all of your burning questions answered by Coach Sonya, the 2021 Austin Fit Magazine Best Running Coach.

Preparing for this workshop: 

  • Open and free parking around the  HIT Athletic building 
  • Wear workout clothes and bring a water bottle 
  • Please arrive at least 20 minutes before the event to sign the waiver for HIT Athletics to use their facility.
