The Young Women’s Alliance (YWA) is a nonprofit organization devoted to the professional and personal development of women leaders in Central Texas. For more than 30 years, YWA has been a staple in the Austin community, driven by our four pillars: lead, educate, network, and serve. 

Bessy Martinez is renowned for her creative prowess, entrepreneurial spirit, and visionary thinking. She has dedicated her career to empowering individuals to reach their full potential. Bessy’s unique approach combines her rich experiences and innovative strategies to inspire audiences to optimize their talents, seize opportunities, and drive positive change within their communities. 

In "Community as Currency," Bessy Martinez will explore the vital role that building strong, genuine connections plays in both personal and organizational success. Through engaging stories and practical strategies, Bessy will delve into how she created and nurtured communities that stand the test of time, cultivate support networks, drive collaboration, and elevate our collective impact. Attendees will leave with actionable insights on how to leverage community as a powerful tool for growth and success.

  • 7:15-8:00 - Speaker Programming
• Food & Drinks: Light bites will be provided. As well as wine and non-alcoholoic options.

In order to allow for better planning and to provide our members with higher quality programming, we are implementing a no-show policy. All events have limited capacity, so if you registered and are unable to attend we ask that you please unregister within 48h. All no-shows or late cancellations will be charged an automatic $15 no-show fee. Thank you for your understanding and collaboration as we work to provide you with the quality of programming you deserve!
